FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff

Saturday, January 4th was the 2014 FIRST Robotics Competition kickoff! Students and mentors watched a live stream by FIRST, which featured this year’s game, Aerial Assist. Aerial Assist is played by six robots with three on an Alliance on a 25 by 54 foot field, containing a truss over the middle of the field hanging 5 feet above the ground. The goal is to get as many assists and goals as possible while working together with the Alliance in a 2 minute, 30 second match. For more information, see the FRC website at http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc. There are only about six more weeks until February 18th, the day when teams are to stop building!
